Bitch Milk Production

The most important thing, is to make sure she gets plenty to drink. If she's not interested in eating, try giving her some broth or melted plain vanilla ice cream. It may also take a full day or so before her milk comes completely in. I've known breeders to use a tablespoon of dark beer to help bring the milk down. The most important thing is to make sure that she stays well hydrated. If for some reason she doesn't produce enough milk, you may just have to supplement the pups. You may also want to ask your vet for an oxytocin shot (injection) for her to produce milk rapidly.
